As an aspiring content creator who has a passion for branding, I wanted to share how I came up with my brand elements.

My Inspiration:

Growing up in Snowmass, Colorado I have been surrounded by mountains and nature my whole life. I have always loved everything about nature, especially the jagged peaks of the mountains around me. There is one extra special mountain that with each year has become increasingly more special to me. This mountain is called Mount Daly.

My middle name is inspired by this mountain with some personal lineage that changed the spelling to Daley. I have been connected to this mountain since birth and it is a staple to the valley I live in. When thinking about my personal brand I knew Mt Daly had to be integrated in some way. I decided to turn Mt Daly into my logo. The most memorable part of the mountain is the ingenious intrusion (the stripe) that runs across the face of the mountain so that is one of the main elements I kept when simplifying the mountain to a logo.

After creating the general logo design I found my brand colors from a picture of the sunset behind some mountains and then used those swatches in a color generator till I found the right combination that worked well together.

My brand is about wanting to inspire people to use their voices so they are able to help the world grow. There is also a strong emphasis of exploring and staying curious about the world. This led to my brand tagline Explore Your Voice.

Finally, I used my colors, and the style of my logo to find my brand typefaces. I found the title font first by looking for expressive fonts that still had a professional touch to them. I found my font Lucyan which is a display serif typeface. Then I looked for my headers and body font. Here I was looking for something that was sanserif and more on the simple side to balance out my display font. I picked Acumni Pro Bold, Medium, and Light for my different headers and main paragraphs.

My Band Elements

For the feel of my brand, I wanted it to have a tone of friendly and simple with an emphasis on adventure. I created my 5 Senses brand associations with this tone in mind.
